Can it be used for juicing with an oil press?

Oil presses have been widely used to extract a variety of ingredients with high oil content, such as sesame seeds, peanuts, soybeans and so on. So, can an oil press be used to extract juice?

First of all, it needs to be understood that the working principle of an oil press is different from that of a juice machine. An oil press works by separating the oil from the residue by means of a high-speed rotating press rod, while a juicer squeezes the juice out of the fruit by cutting and pressing. Therefore, using an oil press to extract juice is not as effective as a specialized juicer, and will result in some of the pulp and pomace being squeezed out by the press rods, resulting in more pomace in the juice.
Secondly, the use of a juicer to extract juice can be problematic because the ingredients for which the juicer is intended are those with a high oil content. Ingredients with high moisture content such as fruits and vegetables are not suitable to be extracted with an oil press because the oil press is unable to separate the moisture from the juice, which will result in juice containing more water and pulp dregs, affecting the taste and quality of the juice.

Overall, oil presses are not suitable for extracting juice and are more suitable for extracting ingredients with higher oil content. If you want to extract juice, it is recommended to use a specialized juicer to get better juice quality and taste.
